ABOUT LITTLE BOO LOVES

I'll start from the beginning... (bear with me...)

Little Boo Loves started in my kitchen in 2014 - a little while after having my first daughter - Olivia. I wanted to make and sell 'pretty things' because at the time, I couldn't find what I wanted. So in the beginning, I created hand painted/ decorated wooden items, as well as working full time & being a Mummy so it was pretty relentless. I won't lie... I burnt myself out after the first Christmas which lead to me going on a bit of a hiatus. I did get back into it but very intermittently and it was always just a bit of a side hustle until...

2020, COVID, I was furloughed from my job in property management and then made redundant. Now, I had two daughters - Sophia (who couldn't go to her child minder), as well as Olivia (who was home schooling). I couldn't get another job because, well, who would look after the kids?! After late night discussions with the hubby (Oliver) and a lot of research, I decided to try pick things up properly and see if I could make a go of it 'for real'. Scary stuff!

Personalised items were all the rage at the time so I branched out into the world of vinyl and expanded to sell hand gel bottles, drinks bottles, travel mugs, notebooks and various home items including my absolute best sellers to this day - olive oil bottles.

We converted the garage to a workshop & stock room for me but I quickly outgrew this and by November 2021, I'd signed for a commercial unit! Something that at the time, I could only have dreamed of. A huge space, plenty of room for stock, an office, a spot for a shop even! After moving in and a LOT of sprucing up (with the help of my wonderful Mum & Dad and husband Oliver), I opened my shop in May 2022 in Farsley, Leeds, selling personalised items but now also so much more - bath & body products, cards, homewares, toys and more.

Sadly, this shop wasn't to be as it was just too tucked away so the location combined with rising rental costs, meant that after much soul-searching, I decided to close the shop. As of July 2023, LBL is solely an online retailer again as well as pop-ups and markets/ fairs. But, who knows what the future will bring?
